2014 Path Waves Youth Film Program

Presented in cooperation with Smithsonian National Museum of American Indian, Path Waves invites kids to explore the joys and challenges of Native experience in our world today. Hand-drawn animations, reimagined legends, inquisitive documentaries, and fun youth-made live action stories all come together to spark curiosity about the many rich histories and vibrant cultures of indigenous peoples throughout North America. Chartered by an act of Congress in 1989 as the 18th museum of the Smithsonian Institution, the National Museum of American Indian (NMAI) is dedicated to advancing knowledge and understanding of the Native cultures of the Americas.

All films are in English, or in original language with subtitles in English.

Cynthia Benitez, Film & Video Program Specialist for the Smithsonian National Museum of American Indian, will be present for a Q&A after the screening.
