Susana Almanza, Chicana and activist, has fought for the rights of working-class Latinos in the East Austin community all her life. As a grassroots organizer in the environmental group People in Defense of the Earth and her Resources (PODER) she shut down the Holly Power Plant, one of her greatest achievements yet. Susana recounts her past history and how it has shaped her into the person she is today.
