Every year, in the Portuguese province of Beira Alta, a region known for the highest rate of desertification, thirteen villages gather for a bullfight called the Capeia Arraiana. Wearing the "forcao," a rudimentary object made of wood, several men fight the bulls that are often brought in from Spain. The villages compete for the best Capeia of the year.

Pedro Sena NunesPedro Sena Nunes was born in Lisbon in 1968. He is known for his experimental films, and has received awards both for his cinema and video work as well as for his photography. Traveler and Father of three, Director, Producer, Photographer, Teacher and Artistic Consultant. He co-founded the Companhia de Teatro Meridional, and he currently works as Artistic Director of Vo'Arte in addition to programming various Dance and Film Festivals.
