In the fall of 2009, Texas Performing Arts, the University of Texas Theatre and Dance Department, and El Colegio del Cuerpo coordinated a pilot project spanning over six months, with residency periods in both Texas and Colombia. Five professional male dancers from Cartagena, Colombia were paired with five female student dancers to develop a new dance work. They were expected to work together, overcoming cultural differences and language barriers, to create a new dance piece. A behind-the-scenes look at dance production and cultural fusion, with artists being pushed out of their comfort zones.
